Light, greyish black and opaque substance. A good conductor of heat and electricity with high natural strength.

Used as anode material in lithium-ion batteries (50% of overall weight) and conducting material for bipolar plates in fuel cells which are a renewable energy source with lower greenhouse gas emissions.
